Justine De Penning

Lives and works in Chennai, India.

Justine De Penning in an artist and designer who grew up in India. She works with performance, video, text, sound and installation. Her work is research based and is concerned with analysing the irreducibly complex subject of post colonial theory and speculating post human futures.

Justine holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from California Institute of the Arts, MA in Aesthetics and Politics from California Insitute of the Arts and a Masters in Spatial Performance and Design from the Architectural Association, London.

Since 2018, Justine works at The Architecture Story, which she co-founded along with Deepak Jawahar. She leads a small team of amazingly talented people who have come together with the passion to create meaningful communities by design.
